CounterBill ("we", "our") is a shop billing and stock management application powered by YTCorporation. Package name: com.ytcorp.counterbill. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it when you use CounterBill.

2. Information we collect

We may collect:

• Account details: WhatsApp phone number, name, and email used for login and profile
• Shop profile: company name, GSTIN, address, logos, and related business details
• Business data: products, stock, bills/invoices, customers, staff/counter accounts, and analytics needed to run the service
• Subscription status: plan and payment-related status required to unlock paid features
• Device / technical data: information used for authentication, security, and crash diagnosis

3. How we use information

We use your data to:

• Provide billing, inventory, analytics, and staff account features
• Send login OTPs (including via WhatsApp) and other service communications
• Process subscriptions and customer support requests
• Maintain security and improve the app

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Sharing

We may share data with infrastructure and messaging providers that help us operate the app (for example hosting, WhatsApp OTP delivery, or payment gateways). These providers process data only to deliver their service. We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain account and shop records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, and security purposes. You may request deletion of your account at ytcorp.in/counterbill-delete-account. After you submit a request, the account is deleted automatically within 1 week.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please keep your device and OTP codes private.

7. Your choices

You can update profile and shop details in Settings. Staff/counter access is controlled by the shop owner. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data.

8. Children

CounterBill is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we revise this page.
